The new PW2 TR-2 and TR-3 issue has created a little fiasco on the DOB database and currently some concrete permits are being blocked. The BIS unit want the examiners to fix it and they are giving them instructions which cannot be followed and in the meantime contractor’s can’t do some concrete work

  1. If you are not doing any concrete on top of the metal decking you won’t have that big of a problem otherwise you may be one of the unlucky gooses cooked by the dob. feel free to email me a survey or plan of your proposed job if you want me to take a look.

  2. Expediter: Although most of your posts are way too technical for a non-professional like me, I appreciate them nonetheless. My architect will be making an application to DOB quite soon for construction of a screen porch on an existing deck. Your posts fill me with horror about the process. I feel like you should be involving the NY Post or some other hungry media outlet keen to expose the fouled-up workings of the bureaucracies of NYC. Their inefficiences and inconsistencies are so anti-construction industry, anti-homeowners/business owners, anti-safety, anti-common sense. And isn’t this exactly the kind of craziness Bloomberg said he would fix? We might as well be living in Albania!
