“Why not hate her? She sucks.” I am appalled! Frankly,comments of this nature are short of “hate crimes” this should not be allowed in this forum or ant other forum. I find BROWNSTONER a great resource BUT it seems to be riddled with nasty, rude, condescending, vicous comments of a personal nature. As a member I am asking BROWNSTONER to stop these hateful comments they serve no purpose.
Did Noel Coward, Sam Shepard, Tom Stoppard,Tom Robbins, Nora Ephrom, Oscar Wilde ever write in ALL CAPITALS ? Find this type of writing more annoying than any form of snark or opinion rant. The people who offend you on this blog are the only reason this stale bag of chips has not been thrown in the garbage. Please, find another late night hobby.

meme, I feel sort of bad here, since I’m very familiar with your forum posts and your replies to other people’s forum posts, which are generous and insightful, and I would hate to see you stop posting in the Forum.
So, it just makes me wonder if (a) you saw the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street on Friday night, and had a bad dream; or (2) if someone hijacked your Brownstoner account.
You are looking for writing on par with “Noel Coward, Sam Shepard, Tom Stoppard,Tom Robbins, Nora Ephrom, Oscar Wilde” etc. here? That’s our crime? That our snark isn’t as good as Oscar Wilde’s? That’s what’s keeping you up at 4:28 on a Saturday morning?
Well, if that’s what Mr. B led you to expect, email him “as a member.” I am sure he will refund you the balance of your membership dues.
