Adding Door in Window Opening
I would like to install a door in an existing window opening. It’s 78″ high and 36″ wide. I’d like the door to be glass with a security door/bug screen. Needs to be cheap and cheerful as usual. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure why you needed a permit for an existing opening, assuming it had a proper header, etc.
It took Elegant Doors (imsr) 2 hours to install mine. I guess I sneaked by.
Yes, we tried doing it and you do need a permit and it wasn’t cheap.

Does one need permission from DOB or city for said job?
I used a door from home depot that has a doublehung window within with a screen.
