Anyone know where to find them? I see lots of nice metal ones online but since the white porcelain were original I’d like to match them. There is a guy in the neighborhood who is selling them for $32 a piece. They’re beautiful, really clean, but that’s $64 a door and just for the rosettes, which seems like a chunk of change given everything else we need. But thought maybe someone else might have them cheaper, because I can see that any other option is going to feel alittle disappointing.
Hi Steve:
I only need the rosettes. I have the knobs and the locks and strike plates. I found someone who will sell them to me with the brass casing thingies for a very reasonable price. I haven’t seen them yet, but if they are in terrible shape, I’ll get back in touch to see if you would sell just the rosettes. Thanks.

You may wish to contact me. I’ve been thinking about the math as I do my work and realize I can sell you an entire porcelin set for less than you would pay for just the rossettes for one door (50 for an entire unit would be more than enough for me). But I know you don’t need all the other stuff; maybe I’ll part these out and sell pieces. I’ll be fair.

Unfortunately, the porcelin is a lot. I have 4 complete sets (knobs, rossettes, lock & keyhole covers) here which I bought just to sell – on my website http://www.thetinkersyard.com. I am going back to see the gentlemen that I bought these from this weekend and if I see any rossettes or incomplete sets, I’ll see if I can bring some back at a little less than the ones you saw locally.
I will tell you how to find these – check antique shops in less than high end neighborhoods. You want places that sell stuff that has not been fully restored or is in less than perfect condition. Look in the back of these shops and they often have a pile of hardware such as hinges, knobs, etc. I suspect these kinds of shops are not easy to find in the city.
