Does anyone have a good source for pre-finished 2 1/4 oak flooring in Brooklyn? It will need to be moderately priced and hopefully in stock.

Thanks!

  1. I just bought brazilian cherry for my living and dining area and prefinished oak for my bedrooms. I shopped at Home Depot and many other places but this is the best I found in terms of price and quality. They also delivered it the next day

Ask for Alvin or Debbie, you’ll get a good price.

  3. There is a wood flooring store outside and to the left of the front entrance to Lowe’s (as you head out of their lot in the direction of the Gowanus/BQE). I bought some flooring from them last summer and thought they were pretty resonable and helpful.

Something tells me there is a Lumber Liquidators there as well, but they never seem to have what I need.

  4. The best place to get flooring is lumber liquidators.
Check them out online. They have much more selection and are sometimes half of the price of regular suppliers.
I’m not sure if there is a store in Brooklyn yet, but there is one in Manhattan, and NJ. The NJ outlet is a warehouse that you can order and pick up at.
I got mine in Manhattan and had it delivered.

They are located under the Gowanus Expressway, across the street from McDonald’s, look for the blue awning. Ask for Ben, tell him Allan recommended you. I purchased my flooring from them for my Brooklyn brownstone and NJ home. Good prices and extremely negotiable. They also carry granite and cabinets. I randomly found them after leaving Lowes which is close by, they were extremely helpful and went beyond their norm to get my business.

    Here’s a picture of the flooring I purchased…
