General Contractor Consultant?

Anybody has any experience/recommendations for a General Contractor Consultant. I want to do most of the job by myself but I need to pull the permit for a renovation and somebody to consult or answer questions while the construction. Maybe once a week or once every two weeks.

I would like to know about what kind of pricing I should expect to pay for this consulting and permit service.
