Karl Fischer India/Franklin

Anyone know what the story is with the Karl Fischer building on corner of Franklin and India in Greenpoint? The facade looks unfinished, the C/O on DOB site indicates “gas station”. Apartments are listed on Craig’s list and tenant’s moving in. Gotta say if it weren’t so ugly I might want to move in myself, the views toward Manhattan are fabulous.
