Gas Meter in Basement
I have gas meters in basement finished room covered by plywood door. Is it Ok to keep them in the room? Should we move them into the area under the stoop? Anywhere else? I will switch from oil to gas heating this year and can use this opportunity to move the piping/meters.

is there any inherited danger in having gas miters directly in the living room? I mean what is they will leak.
Have them put remotes on them.
I have them on 3 meters.
A lot less hassel then moving meters.
About 70USD from Nat Grid
Unless some real need to move, I wouldn’t go thru the expense. Gas meters can be read remotely….at least they do for my heating one, the apts not….but I think if paid they would add the remote for them too.
