We purchased a lovely garden apartment in chelsea. We got a contractor to demolish large size storage cabinet in the main living room. The old hardwood floor inside the storage cabinet was removed to lay over the stone tiles as on the rest of the floor. Even though the tiles are exactly the same, even with a casual look it is obvous that it is a patch work. My question is – Does it have to be like that even if the tiles are exactly the same ?

  1. It does and it doesn’t ….
did he polish the tiles , did he clean all the grouting around it, did he match all levels?
Usually when u replace or repar the floor that way u try to enlarge the area of work so that it matches as close as possibile….
