Thanks Kelly; I wish (she says ruefully). I am learning to live with lowered expectations.
To VHR: the toilet was one our contractor had left from another job; a gratis surprise. I knew nothing about dual-flush toilets, but it is a great concept. Works well as does the elongated seat (which I hadn’t liked) because it leaves more room next to the clawfoot tub.

It’s always so nice when things some together easily and relatively inexpensively.

It looks like you picked a dual flush toilet. What brand did you pick? Did you do a lot of research first? I’ve been looking for one.
