Add Vanities to Porcelain Sinks
I have two bathrooms with beautiful modern porcelain sinks that hang off the wall. I desperately need storage and want to build vanities under the porcelain sinks. My master bath has two of these sinks with about 18″ in between and I want to customize the cabinets to take advantage of the this space ……
I have two bathrooms with beautiful modern porcelain sinks that hang off the wall. I desperately need storage and want to build vanities under the porcelain sinks.
My master bath has two of these sinks with about 18″ in between and I want to customize the cabinets to take advantage of the this space … so I am looking at a highly customizable job.
Can anyone recommend a kitchen & bath shop where I can go who can do this work? I was going to call a contractor, but that would add to the cost.
They don’t need to be anything in particular. Solid wood is better than particleboard, which most of the really cheap ones are made of.
Someone told me the cabinets under the sinks need to be laminated plywood. Is this correct?
If you want something custom, find a good finish carpenter to build a cabinet.
You can buy stock cabinets from any kitchen/bath shop or Home Depot that are 9″, 12 and 18″ wide and then get a countertop for them. That will be the cheapest option….any style that they carry will have cabinets this size.
