Why are these “mayoral” doors? Because they used to belong to the mayor! Of Brooklyn! We hope you are aware that Brooklyn used to be its own city.
These 5 panel beauties, coated in lead paint at no extra charge, are all from the home of Charles A. Scheiren, the corruption-quelching, Tammany-Hall-up-breaking, kind-hearted second-to-last mayor of Brooklyn. He no-doubt opened them for many a petitioner, and slammed them on many a ne’er-do-well before retiring, despite overwhelming popularity, and leaving the erstwhile second largest city in the nation in the black (financially). If you want ’em, or a couple of ’em, please write Gary Jacobson garandjac at yahoo dot com. Hardware not included, unless you petition with particular eloquence, in which case we can maybe scare something up.
