Best Store for Carpet Remnants?
ABC carpets is a a little expensive and their selection in N.Y. is limited. Can anyone suggest a good shop in N.Y. or Brooklyn that has decent prices and a good selection?

Lowes and Home Depot. Home Depot has lower prices, Lowes has a better selection.
Thanks for the advice everyone
I third the recommendation of Better Carpet Warehouse. I purchased a stair runner to go up four flights in my house. They were great at every level – it cost what they said it would cost, they installed when they said they would, they took away excess material and trash, and were easy to reach by phone.
I agree with the goat herder. ABC. Though I bought my wall to wall “remnants” at the main store near Union Square. Beautiful carpet for the stairs and the halls in my rental unit.
I 2nd Better carpet warehouse on atlantic. decent selection of remnants and you can haggle the price.
For pure wool wall to wall, ABC has very competitive prices: Around $25-40 per square yard installed. I haven’t been to the Bronx outlet, but it’s probably even cheaper.
The regular neighborhood stores charge more for nylon.
I have heard there is an inexpensive carpet place on Flushing around Bushwick Ave. that may be really cheap, but I have not actually checked it out.
P.S. Uh, I’d politely decline modsquad’s offer if I were you…
Try Better Carpet Warehouse on Atlantic btwn Nevins and Bond.
They have a decent selection of stuff with good pricing for stuff in stock.
They don’t have a fancy show room or anything, but the guys there are pleasant enough.
They have a few collections of area rugs hanging up and a couple piles of remnants and runners scattered around.
I have some carpeting you can have for free.
