Seems hard to wade thru water heater specs on the web. Apparently there are only 2 manufs? Could that be true? And that they’re mostly the same in reliability and performance?

I need a standard vent 50/60g hi-recovery. Any models people can recommend? I’m thinking State or AO Smith. Is Bradford-White (more expensive) better?

  2. Sear and Home Depot also carry other brands, but stay with one of the big ones…AO Smith, Bradford White. AO Smith has an excellent warranty process in the case that the heater leaks within the warranty time frame (hopefully it doesn’t)!!

  3. Don’t know much about heaters but do know there is at least one more that you haven’t mentioned, Lochinvar. Gas or electric? cmu, you’re slipping up here 🙂
