Well we are supposed to be going through a major renovation right now using such a product. It is a good starting point but the amount of $$ allocated for renovations is not based on the reality of NYC costs. We have to provide another 60 to 65% of the renovation expenditure which is a little steep but not entirely unexpected.
Our main complaint is the bank’s requirement that the General Contractor meet such stringent criteria (not only licensed and insured) for the job that it narrows the pool to mainly pricey companies. Good luck!
