Co-op Refinance
Anyone know of a good regional bank or local credit union that does co-op refinances? Despite the fact that my mortgage is now owned by Fannie Mae, I’ve been told by multiple banks, including my own, that they’re no longer dealing in co-op loans.

We refinanced our co-op unit through Sovereign, which is fairly regional (east coast).
I just got a mortgage for my co-op purchase at Bank of America. You can call my lender there. Don Romano at 516-647-3287. He’s also a former mortgage broker and is full of great ideas and resources.
I also did a search for credit unions in NYC area and there were a few that anyone can join that offer refis. Can’t remember the names, but do a google search for credit unions. There is a website that lists them all. I just went down the list one by one till I found the ones I could join, and then called them.
