I currently have an old maroon high pressure tankless toilet in my bathroom – circa 1939. It has a nice half-hexagon shape in the front. I love the syle but not the color. I’m about to renovate and am looking for a white one. Does anyone have any advice? Maybe there’s a salvage yard I should look at? Is my search futile? I’d really like to maintain the original character of the bathroom. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  1. I thought about reglazing it… but all I find on internet searches is ‘buy a new one!’, which I might have to resort to. I will try Demolition Depot and search out other salvage yards (I bet Old Good Things would be a good place to look, too). Hmm, good to know the maroon toilet is collectible – maybe I can just trade if I find a white one.

  2. Vintage/antique toilets in colors other than white are more collectible than the white versions because they are harder to find. You might be able to sell yours for more than the cost of salvage white version. I’d check Demolition Depot or any other local salvage.
