  1. Signature Hardware (signaturehardware.com) has nice retro faucets. Sometimes they are on sale. I got 4 of my faucets from them and have no complaints. 2 of the rooms have white subway tiles w/ porcelain sinks and the others are carrera marble counters. They really fit the old style.

  2. AF supply is the industry go to for fixtures, they have every major manufacturer available. It’s hard to tell you what would look right without knowing more about your design but take a look at Hans-Grohe, they have a nice range from modern to traditional, and their prices has a nice range too. I personally love the montreux line for more traditional baths, but that’s on the high end of the price range.

  3. Try going to Park Slope Plumbing Supply located on 5th. Ave. and Prospect Ave….They have a nice showroom and are very helpful.

  4. Try Restoration Hardware. They have the whole range from modern to old-fashioned, and it’ll be easier to choose when you have the whole spectrum in front of you. I don’t think there is a right or wrong, it boils down to your taste. Also, for inspiration, go to a Waterworks showroom. They have the most gorgeous hardware, but their prices are outrageous. Still, it’ll help you figure out what style you like. Good luck.

  5. a very modern faucet with a lever or a faucet with 2 handles an 8 inch spread.
