I posted about looking for a kitchen designer yesterday. I also went to “Urban Homes” on 11th and 51st. They design modern kitchens and their product line is “Aster Cucine”. I was very impressed by their cabinetry and innovative ideas. Has anyone used these guys before?

  1. When I think of good “kitchen design,” I think first of how the space works best for the cook and for the people the cook wants to be with while cooking or serving. If that aspect of design is not fully considered, it may not matter if the cabinets are well constructed or what they look like.

My initial consultations are all in my client’s homes.

  2. If you are looking at modern kitchens with in-house designers, have you looked at Henry Built? They have a showroom on Grand and Wooster? or somewhere right around there – I may be off by a block or two either north-south or east-west – but they have very modern, streamlined, eco-friendly kitchens, and they do all the design work with an architect-trained in house designer. Might be worth checking them out…

  3. if you decide to go with a kitchen store make sure you put the purchase including labor on an american express card. the reson being if there is any type of problem american express resolves problems quickly an efficiently. They will be happy to intervene on your behalf.

if you don’t have ae card use another credit card.
A bank debit card is useless for this type of purchase. You can use it but the debit cards work like a check card. you are on your own with them.

i wish you the best of luck.
