$1800/m in Park Slope? Possible?
Hi, we are relocating to Brooklyn this summer and would like to know if it’s at all possible to find something decent for $1800 per month in Park Slope. We are looking for a one bedroom.

Anyone ever hear of the 4 bedroom apartment in Carroll Gardens? I am not kidding you the owner had put a bed in every room buth the bathroom. Had he pulled out the bathtube he would of probably put one there too. Rejoice those times are gone for homeowners, it is now a renters market.
I have a friend who couldn’t find a halfway decent 1BR in Park Slope for $1700-1800 but got a really nice, clean spacious one on a good block in Midtown for that price.
How about the non-extistent kitchen in a corner of the living room?
And it’s just off “outstandingly busy” 7th Ave. Outstanding!
This is 1/2 floor of a townhouse — total 400 sq. ft. at best. Crappy cheap renovation, no details left. The bedroom isn’t big enough for a double bed, let alone a queen size.
That listing sure is stunning…
Im certainly stunned by how small it is!
thank you for all your input! your comments are very encouraging. we thought park slope would be totally out of our price range from what our friends who have been apartment hunting(2 years ago) told us. hurray!
Don’t listen to 11217 he is a homeowner, who overpaid for his home and is now looking to refinance and get help from the government. He can’t stand the idea that the value of his home is going down. He has not yet touched reality.. You read it hear first. Rents that are now 1800 dollars will be 1200 dollars by June 2009.
I will have a Fully Renovated 2BR apartment available in Mid March for $2,100.00.

Be patient Rents are going down day by day. They should hit 1200-1300 dollars a month by June.
