I am looking for 2″ wide red oak strip flooring. square edge. I have a missing patch and want to restore the floor.Already checked dyke lumber and its not in the budget very pricey. will take old or new.

yes 6 strips one direction then another direction.checked again theres no tongue and groove.
This flooring is face nailed? Are your squares made up of (6)strips one direction, next square 6 strips the other way?
Are you sure? Tongue and groove has been around for a long time, both for strength but also to avoid face nailing eyesores.
what I meant was the strips are 2″x12″ and they are nailed down. There is no tongue and groove.

You say square edge, but also parquet. Is the square edge you are seeking the profile of the groove at the surface?
If your are seeking 3/4″ oak parquet flooring, I have reclaimed some, vintage 1900-1910. I plan to extend a few rows but may have extra left over. These are 11″ T&G, originally installed with cut nails.
