Has anyone ever dealt with Majorie Thompson at Washington Realty Corp? If so how have your experience(s) been?

I’m sorry, I have to ask – changing to what? That area has long been very quiet, and quite beautiful, with the magnificent Union United Methodist Church on the corner, as well as the fine apartment buildings across the street, and the great rows of houses in both directions on Bergen. The bus stop on the corner insures lots of people and traffic, the buses are the new, quiet natural gas varieties, and this bus goes right downtown to the corner of Jay and Fulton, passing through Prospect Hts, the edge of Park Slope, and through Boreum Hill.
You are close enough to both the A or the 3 train, Restoration Plaza on Fulton for banking and shopping, near Super Foodtown, a great supermarket, and 2 blocks away from the Children’s Museum, and on the same block as the Bergen Community Garden, between Nostrand and NY Ave, which has a very active roster of programs and members of all races, ages, creeds and colors.
You would be as safe as anyone is safe, provided you have basic street smarts, which everyone needs in every neighborhood, even “better” ones. If you happen to be young and white, there are more and more young, white kids in the area, no one is going to stare at you, or make a big deal, which is something people don’t do around here anyway.
I live 2 blocks away, and walk around all hours of the day and evening, as I have events, meetings and friends all over the neighborhood, and I (female) have always felt perfectly safe.
The row of limestones on the south side of Bergen between NY/Nostrand reminds me of a London terrace row, and the houses on the other side of NY towards Brooklyn Ave are unique and beautiful. The apartment buildings are spacious and grand, and are not known as a local problem, many apartments filled with people who have lived there for generations.
I suggest you walk around in the evening, on weekends and during the day, if possible. I think it’s a great location.
