I have been searching but still can’t find spindles to complete the staircase.

I need quite a few (about 80)to coomplete the entire run. Anyone out there getting rid of theirs?

  1. I had Soxco (South Oxford Stair Co) make and install new spindles and newel post – matching the existing ones – for me and they did a great job. I recommend them.

  2. i just used a guy that was recommended on this sight called shane, shanedeary@hotmail.com. he is the nicest guy, is a carpenter and a true craftsperson. he repaired two wooden entry doors and secured my entire stair banister,…all three floors, repaired missing pieces on my newel post.. he was great.

  3. There’s a house on Lincoln Pl being redone – you might ask if they’re taking out staircase – I know they’re putting in an elevator. It’s #128 – between 6th & 7th.

  4. Another option is to have them made for you. We did that for a some spindles to match what we already had. It has been awhile, so I unfortunately I can’t remember who did it for us.

  5. I think you are best of checking the big salvage stores – like Vernont Salvage in White River Junction or the place at the top of main street in Hudson, NY.
