I noticed that, too, jb312. And it doesn’t look like anything’s happening one block further any time soon. Not to mention you’ve got Atlantic Ave one block the other way, and that will NEVER be charming. I agree that they’re asking a lot for something out on the edge, but I haven’t seen the inside yet.
How did it compare to other new construction? Did it feel solid and sturdy or flimsy?
We checked these out, and they looked pretty great, if a bit over-tricked out. However, they seem to be located right at the end of gentrification in that particular direction – it gets industrial really fast down the block. Given how the economy is going, I’d be a little nervous. But if you’re fine with that – go for it.
How are you seeing the kitchens, Mopar? I clicked all over and couldn’t figure out how to see photos of the individual rooms. Fancy website that’s a bit too complicated and cluttered. Well from what I could see it looked nice anyway!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE the look of the plain brown and white kitchens and bathrooms and the deck. Amazing since I generally only like kitchens from 1920 and earlier. Wish they had floor plans. But it seems the only ones available are large and expensive. And you get more room in a multi-family, natch. But this would be a great first apt if you could afford it.
traditionalmod, the photos of the kitchen might have been in the original brownstone archive link. Now forgetting!

Cheers.
