Floor refinish.. Vacate property?
I’m looking to have the hardwood floors in our 500sqft unit sanded/refinished. I need a recommendation on who to consider hiring and was wondering if I needed to completely vacate the unit while the work is being done. I’m in Greenpoint.

We did our floors a while back and had to vacate, but it was pretty fast – just a couple of days with water based products.
I am doing a similar job now as part of a larger renovation. While I might be available in a few weeks to do yours. If you contact me, I will send you photos of an interesting floor I restored recently. I believe you can get my e-mail and phone from my profile.
Hi there,
My husband Junior Prates would be happy to arrange an appointment and give you his estimate. In order to know if it needs to be vacuated or not he would need to look at it.
We have references.

I have to recommend my guy Carlos from Inti Interior Design and Wood Floors. He did my brownstone in Windsor Terrace in 06 and is about to do a victorian I bought in NJ as an investment property. Carlos can be reached via his cell number at 646-281-2659.
Good Luck,

It depends on what product you use. It is possible to use a water-based product and it might not smell. You have to doublecheck before you decude.
recommend above also,
vacate, yes…unless, you don’t want them to refinish under your furniture or where you’re standing at the time 🙂
