We are thinking about going with the Brazilian teak floors in our house…anyone have them? Do you like it/dislike it?

  1. Brazilian Teak floors are used in the new condo development, Clermont Greene. The sales office is at 1818 Clermont Ave and you can see them there. The sales office has been open since May so you can get a good sense of how it holds up under traffic.

  2. I do have Brazilian teak thru my apartment. While they are beautiful, they aren’t as durable as they claim to be. It’s pretty easy to get them scratched. Prepare to be very careful with them. I recommend using Poly Care as a cleaner occasionally.

  3. Funny…thats what my contractor said also!…and thats why I ask. The varying color was what I was worried about…I think it will look beautiful…but the contractor is against it because we have an open floor plan and he thinks it will be too much.

  4. We put Brazilian teak throughout our garden level a few months ago and it looks beautiful. There is alot of variability in the color but I find that charming. The contractor claimed it was difficult to install because of the hardness of the wood-not sure of that is true or not.
