Restored Antique Door Hardware
I am looking for two antique entry door sets for antique doors. I love the old doors of our brownstone but the knobs were changed to cheap long ago. I would like restored complete sets. Any idea of sellers? Thanks

Thanks so much. These are really helpful. I have been down the DD and OGT track and really wanted a complete working set, ready to install.
THanks!
Try Charleston Hardware Co., they are under the radar but I bought ALL of my brownstone hardware from them. They have reproductions and antiques. The site is ugly but they have excellent items.

There’s a place in the Adams Morgan section of DC (maybe on 18th St) that is an absolute mother lode for that sort of thing. They may have an online presence, too. Forget the name but I’m sure you can track them down.
If you’re game for traveling, the antiques markets in Adamstown, PA, have tons of old door hardware at dirt cheap prices.
This is very helpful, thank you for posting.
I’ve had good luck finding things on Ebay.
I’ve restored the locks in three pocket doors to full functionality using locks and keys found on Ebay. I’ve had a lot of misses on the keys tho as you can imagine.
Set up a saved search and let ebay email you when a match is posted. It takes patience but it pays off. I have a saved search on “Eastlake Pocket Door lock” and a couple of variations on that and I get a couple of emails a week most of which are not good but enough are that it is worth while.
Locally you might try Olde Good Things.

If you give them a photo of what you are looking for they might do their own version of a “saved search”.
In the city I’ve used Charles Lock 212-879-2740, 185 East 80th (Lex and Third) to make keys, they also have antique knobs if I recall correctly, been a few years since I was in tho.
