where to buy bamboo floors
I have looked at Lowes- no good- Lumber liquidators, online. I am wondering if anyone has an opinion or experience with ordering bamboo floors. where would you go?

You could try Bettencourt Green Building Supplies in Williamsburg. They carry a range of interesting materials. Their web address is http://www.bettencourtwood.com phone # is 718.218.6737
I bought my engineered flooring from Hosking Hardwood. Although the engineered flooring sucked, it wasn’t their fault. Engineered flooring sucks in general unless you don’t have dogs and you’re very careful with stuff like furniture legs. But Hosking Hardwood delivered as promised and had competitive prices.
Here i would like to suggest you one very good online store of bamboo floors (www.hoskinghardwood.com/12/Bamboo_Flooring.aspx)It has the ability to grow to maturity within 5-10 years for re-harvesting.
There’s a great hardwood floor store right off of the BQE (if leaving downtown brooklyn heading to queens on the right side – there is a large sign that you can see from the expressway). I think it’s called queensboro flooring but i can’t remember. the salesman who is good is mark.
I wouldn’t order flooring from a box store. Go to a real flooring store like Premium on 3rd Ave.
We looked at iFloor…but the guys there are not so bright…they are all so “cool” and “hip”…but the store manager really thought that the carbonized bamboo was natural. Watch out there. We almost bought the Carbonized light brown because we thought it was natural and harder…then we did research and found out how soft it is.
Id check Lumber Liquidators, they had the lowest prices around.
