I’ve told you that I’ll give you the update on my friends fire escape restoration. From what my friend is telling me is that CUSTOM METAL PRODUCTS came out and started scrapping down his fire escape. They got most of it done(within a three day period). He stated that Custom Metal told him they would be back within two weeks to finish the scrapping as well start the finishing work. They are backed up with work. He seems happy that the work is being worked on. I’ll get back to you on the final result.

  1. Yes, post sounds very fishy. No one is happy when the contractor leaves the job unfinished to work on another job. I was genuinely confused by “scrapping”, thought they were demolishing the fire escape. This sounds like a “Mr Suba” posting.

  2. You’re onto something, Denton. In fact, I think the whole job was scrapped. Contractor’s off the job but says he’s coming back in two weeks? How often does that turn out to be true? OP’s friend is happy with the contractor even though the contractor is currently not showing up to finish the friend’s job? Either the friend just fell off the turnip truck or the post isn’t real. See OP’s posts on 7/14 and 7/21.

  3. I used this company and had a HORRIBLE experience with them. They took 2 months to get a job started and once they started they rarely showed up and after 6 months of little to no progress I told them to get all their stuff out of my house and never to come back.
