Hi all,
New to Brownstoner and eager for advice. We’ve just bought a terrific apartment in Carroll Gardens and are looking for recommendations on contractors you’ve worked with and love. We don’t need a lot done (painting, tiling, installing a W/D) but want someone with a good aesthetic/visual sense and a great team. It’s been a bumpy road thus far and we’re hoping to find someone excellent.

  2. I’m working with Gaudioso Contracting right now on my co-op bathroom in Bay Ridge, and aside for some unforseeable problems we have had, we’ve been very happy. Anthony, the owner, is very responsive to problems, their office calls every other day to make sure we are satisfied with the service we are receiving. When there are problems they are addressed immediately and in a pleasant manner. The work we are doing is nothing fancy so I can’t really recommend them on that basis, but the commmunication skills are much better than we could have hoped for, I think they are overall a great well-rounded contractor, and very reasonably priced. Also, they’re located on President St near Columbia, which is convenient for you in Carroll Gardens. If you call them let them know Steph & Jason sent them your way.

  3. I know of a great contractor…he jus installed solid hardwood floors in my garden floor of my brownstone here is his number
