Does anyone know the status of the tax abatement application for The Crest in Park Slope? The agent says that the application is “pending” and there won’t be any news, if any, until January. I thought that a Preliminary Certificate would have been given at the initiation of construction, and then a Final Certificate when the project is completed. If approved, the abatement will be forthcoming.
Why do I get the feeling that something is amiss??
I have an application pending since July 2007 and cannot get any answers from the Finance Dept, or Housing Incentive Dept. or Tax Commission. I have faxed them and called and left messages to no avail. Good luck, meanwhile I am paying the fully assessed taxes.
