y not try making the opening 80″ high & using a standard sized door? I have a contractor who recently did that for me at one of my buildings. See my “South Slope Renovation” story in the Forum.
I went to Larsen’s on 4th and 64th(?), just under the gowanus. We purchased custom sized steel security doors for the front and rear of the basement for $900 each.
