Lefroy Brooks, Waterworks Fittings
I am looking to update the bathroom fittings. Do any of you have had a good/bad experience with Lefroy Brooks and/or Waterworks? Can anyone comment on quality? Many thanks!

How do you stop squeaky hardwood floors if you cannot get under them- we have a tri-level house and the top floor hardwoods squek- cannot get underneath to follow your advice

Thanks Master Plvmber!
Some of Lefroy-Brooks shares repair parts with Barber Wilson.
I’ve got Lefroy Brooks stuff in my apartment but only because Richard Gere was throwing them away. I’ve had to repair them twice in 7 years, not a great service record, but OTH, they wear in beautifully and are supposedly better-suited to US water properties* now than when Mr. Gere bought them.
*The first rounds of LB imports didn’t work well in the US. The company claimed a foul chemical reaction to US water. They changed some rubber components and the problems went away.
Thanks all.
I really like one of LB and one of Waterworks’ lines. Sadly, Restoration Hardware doesn’t make anything like those.
LB and Waterworks are actually similarly priced, and I wondered if anyone had an input on their quality. I like their lines, but don’t know if the extra cost is worth it.
I had a longtime bias against Waterworks because they seemed so expensive. Then my architect keyed me into the fact that they have a lower-priced builder’s line, which he could get at 20% off.
I have to say in addition to having superior quality, their service is truly excellent. I highly recommend them. As for Lefroy Brooks, they make beautiful stuff, expensive, but the are in England, and most things take a long time to get here. With Waterworks, if you have a problem they are on it immediately, I doubt Lefroy could match that.
I also found that the Waterworks people were very good designers, at no charge!
Good luck.
Restoration Harware is made mostly by a company I think called Brasstech- good stuff. We used it in our last renovation, and the plumbers liked it, though they were skeptical when I first ordered it.
Waterworks is great and outrageously expensive. try restoration hardware…there’s a lot of stuff on dsale right now and the quality is excellent
