new bike lanes on berkeley and lincoln
anyone know what the double parking implications are now that we have bike lanes on berkeley and lincoln? i know you are not supposed to block the bike lines when you double park, but it seems to me that our streets aren’t wide enough to allow for bike lanes, double parking, and regular traffic. Thoughts?

Hose off the blood? What a waste. Very soon you’re going to need that blood to pay for the gas to stick in the tank of your fat-assed, rolling road block.
well – clearly people have a lot to say about bike lanes – but no one commented one the double parking issue.
Anyone without an axe to grind care to comment?????
“Use those lanes guys, if I catch you out of them I’ll be whistling as I hose the blood off my SUV.”
psycho. truly. see how you like it when you have to replace 4 tires after i slash them.
then ride away. on my bike.

Bike threads really seem to bring out the worst in people. Hosing blood off my SUV? Are you serious? Why even joke about maiming or killing someone who does what, exactly?
Irritates you?
I totally don’t get it. Gas is pushing $5 and there are still people arguing that bikes are bad?
I live on berkeley in ps and I don’t see any bike lanes. Where are you talking about?
For Steve-Directions:
Hey there-Take Neptune Avenue straight past Ocean Parkway, Coney Island Avenue and keep going. It will turn into Emmons Avenue. When you get to the end of Emmons, the entrance is right next to the Parking Lot of the Comfort Inn by Emmons and Knapp Street. You have to be a little careful with the traffic on Emmons, but it is not too bad. You could also take the Bedford Avenue Bike Lane to the end of Bedford and make a left on Emmons Avenue. It’s about 10 blocks from Bedford/Emmons.
For OP-Get out of your car and get on a bike, or on your feet!
See what crawls out of the woods?
Fyi, bikes can legally use the roadway whether or not there is a marked bike lane.
There are bike lanes everywhere now, but they seem mainly to screw up traffic for no benefit because I don’t see any bikes using them. They’re everywhere else, running lights, going the wrong way, and almost running me over as I cross the street at the corner with the light. The occasional bikers I do see in the lanes like to get pissy about anything blocking them, but they want it both ways. Use those lanes guys, if I catch you out of them I’ll be whistling as I hose the blood off my SUV.
