Kitchen faucet flow start / stop
Hi B’stoners: The cold water faucet in our kitchen turns on fine, but after running for a few seconds, stops completely. If you turn the faucet on further, the flow resumes normally. Essentially, there is a “dead spot” in the faucet where no water will come out. Any ideas what might cause this? Is it…

You need to check the washers inside the valve first- they could be damaged or the wrong size/material. A damaged washer can cause odd blockages, the wrong type can deform with changes in water temperature also causing blockages.
