My wife and I bought a 3br Co-op on Montgomery St. (Crown Heights) and we’re looking for a quick and reliable contractor. With my wife being 7 months pregnant and itching to move, the clock was ticking and as a designer/engineer I have a very strong idea of what I wanted the finished space to feel like. Luckily I found Beer Home Improvement from a fellow Brownstoner and things were underway. Thahal Beer, the owner, was easy to work with and fixed several things that we discovered as the job went along. He also had some good aesthetic suggestions. The pricing for the job was fair and toward the middle of the 6 contractors I interviewed. If you’re looking for a contractor, I highly recommend them. You can reach him at 1-646-358-6118. If you e-mail me, I’ll be glad to send you a photo album with pics of the job.
After reading this post I called Beer and had him over to check out my brownstone. Seems like a great guy – still waiting for his quote.
Nokilissa,
Beer did a gut renovation on my townhouse. He worked around and enhanced many original details in my home. It came out great and I’m very happy. Beer is definitely familiar with brownstone renovation/restorations. Aside from doing great work, he’s also easy to work with and honest. Give him a call.
Do you know if they do brownstone renovations as well? Your place looks lovely.
Hi darwinjackson,
My husband and I are in the same boat. I’m 6 months pregnant and we’ve got to do work in the kitchen and some closets. I’d love to see your after pix. My email is jennymuse [at] yahoo.com. Thanks!
Nice looking place. Mr. Hancock, don’t be a dick.
Why not put up a “after” picture.
