I am interested in the Clinton Hill Co-ops, but I’m not clear on the differences between the buildings and the apartment lines. I am looking for a 2 BR. Are some nicer/larger than others? I have looked at the CHC website, but it isn’t clear to me. Many thanks in advance.

  1. We live in the North campus in a real two bedroom in the H line. It was a tremendous value when we bought 8 years ago and enjoy living there. It’s not much to look at on the exterior but the buildings are kept clean and there is full time security.

  2. Another plus is that they’ve recently installed a coogeneration plant in the North campus and I believe are planning an installation in the South campus as well. Its supposed to generate some savings and will provide some power in the event of a blackout.

  3. I’ve lived in the North Campus for 2 years, and I LOVE IT! I have a 1 bedroom, but I think the previous poster that in pretty much every building the *true* 2 bedrooms are the C and F line, and they are identical layouts.

I actually don’t have any problems with noise. I am on a high floor and have gorgeous Manhattan views. Good luck with your search.

  4. South campus is better in my opinion (it’s where I live). Very friendly community, nice big windows, nice sized apts. the C and F lines are the real 2 bedrooms. I highly recommend living here. I think it’s the best value in the neighborhood.

  5. We used to live on the F line (8th floor) and I can’t tell you how much we loved the layout, sunshine streaming through oversized windows, having two true bedrooms, plus living room and dining room. We renovated the kitchen by knocking down a wall and opening it up into the pantry area. Amazing views of rooftops and architecture of local churches and Brooklyn clock tower. Only reason we sold is because we wanted some outdoor space. They are indeed the best deals around, and I’m sure they will continue to increase in value. You cannot get anything else in the historic neighborhood of Clinton Hill for under 500K. So they are a steal. The neighbors are friendly and warm. Keep your eyes open for a two-bedroom apartment on the F line. Best of luck.

  6. I might be wrong but I think that the REAL 2 BR’s are the C and F line, and that is for all the buildings.
Great place…good luck with your search!
