Can anyone recommend a store that sells good quality modern sinks/vanities for bathrooms at a reasonable price? (I like the sink and vanity below to give you an idea of the type I’m looking for)

  1. I shopped around for weeks, trying to find reasonable pricing and product selection to complete my remodeling project. Reading some of the comments above shock me! Disco Bath on 18th Ave has horrible customer service, as well as poor quality products on the most part. Besides, if you are looking for quality and reasonable prices for vanities, you should really shop elsewhere! Majority of products at Disco Bath are imported from China, so good quality is already out of the question. Toto Aquia dual flush toilet purchased by some one on the web for $ 358 is by far not the best price. I ended up making my purchase at Universal Ceramic Tiles located at 2162 Bath Avenue (www.UniversalCeramicTiles.com) and purchased Toto Aquia dual flush toilet there for just a little over $ 300! These guys have a huge inventory of tiles, vanities, faucets and many other goods required for home renovation. They also have some goods imported from China, but at least they are honest about it. Most of the goods sold in their showroom are actually imported from Spain and Italy and are reasonably priced. The service, prices and product selection there is overwhelming! They have by far the best showroom in Brooklyn. I highly recommend to shop at Universal Tiles if you are in the market for good quality materials at very competitive prices!

  2. I just ordered the Toto Aquia dual flush toilet from FaucetDepot.com Cheapest place around and they have in stock. Total cost with seat was $358 (delivered). I ordered 2 Toto Undermount rectangle sinks for about $140 each from 800faucet.com. 800faucet had lowest delivery charges

I looked everywhere for a modern double vanity and used the example from a Porcelonosa catalog. I received quotes for a custom wood vanity from $3500-5000. I ended up at Home Depot Expo center where a very helpful cabinet expert helped me design a 66″ long double vanity, maple, wall mounted for $1500 (have to buy top). He showed me the whole line and explained where to save $$ (using 1/2 thick wood instead of 3/4 inch saves a lot and virtually no difference). Lead time was 3-4 weeks for delivery. Home depot Westbury NY (need car), call Art. He rocks.

Still trying to find Kohler purist wall mounted fixtures for less than $325. (or a reasonable imitation). Any thoughts?

  3. off topic a bit but I believe restoration hardware’s faucets are manufactered by newport brass. Their construction is all metal and gets good reviews. While Newport Brass makes the fixtures, the designs are specific to the store. Their prices are about the same as buying direct from the manufacter so if you like the styles RH offers, you have to buy through them.

  4. i got all my faucets and accessories from restoration hardware and i think they are among the best out there and not the MOST expensive out there either…the poster didn’t say he/she was looking for faucets anyway but for all the rest of the millionaires out there and the near millionaires, restoration hardware is running their annual sale right now…log on and check the prices.

  5. Actually the Home Depot showroom in Manhattan (59th and 3rd) has fixtures like that and probably the cheapest prices. It’s a much higher end bath/kitchen showroom than any typical HD
