Jessy here, someone requested my email for questions- you can contact me at jessyjessyjessy@hotmail.com.
I looked at some of the architect’s sites and they all look the same. White walls, sterile, no detail in the homes, ‘modern’ furniture from the 1950’s. Its so boring – and not a good fit with a brownstone. I would suggest, like the poster above, go on house tours, or even to open houses of houses for sale. You will get better ideas than just sheetrock everything and put in a modern kitchen and see how people really live.

She’s doing a major reno on my 3-story, 3 family brick on Clifton Place.
I would recommend Sarah Jefferys – she does really beautiful work – we lived together in a Brooklyn brownstone building for years and she did gorgeous ikea kitchen renovations in both our rental apts for our landlord very cheaply and fast. But she also does high end beautiful kitchens which I have also seen. Here is her website:

Thank you Jessy.
can you provide an e-mail so i can ask more questions?
i was trying to google christopher with not much luck.
are you in brooklyn?
if yes, can we see his work?
hope this is not too much….
thank you very much.
Absolutely! We loved working with Christoph- he did large scale projects in Germany, and is trying to establish himself here in NYC. He is licensed and absolutely wonderful to deal with. He redesigned our brownstone in ways we never would have imagined.

This is not exhibiting the Christmas spirit. It seems this board gets nastier and nastier. That being said, good contractors and architects seem hard come by and perhaps checking out the threads is the best idea. Also, if you have time, house tours as you can see work first hand and most owners will share the names of those who did the work on their houses.
Check out architecture thread..lots of suggestions there.
