Hi All,
I have a three story brick stone in the Park Slope/Gowanus area and am looking for a recommendation for someone to replace my 25 year old gas hot water boiler. It still works like a champ, and heats the houses radiators up fine, but I am looking to be both more efficient and safe. Any detailed recommendations and/or experiences would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Brian
We had our boiler replaced a couple of years ago by Emo Deranieri, who is fantastic. Great work, vast knowledge of his trade, great price, quick and reliable. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I only have his son’s phone number; he’s also a plumber. Call Michael for Emo at 718-791-8396.
Keyspan may do an adequate job and you probably can do worse, but they will charge you much more than you need to pay.
Definitely call Victory brothers. My house was built in 1899 and I swear I had the original furnace with a door on the front for coal. It had been upgraded to oil years later. Victory Brothers took out the old unit, built and installed new duct work, installed the new system all in two days at a price almost $3000 less than the key span quote. The main contact is Ray Victory. You can find their number online.
I went with keyspan and thought it to be very professional. I could have saved a little but would rather no headaches.
