Hello. I am looking for someone to install a zinc counter top for me. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on who and how to approach?

  1. a few years ago we put zinc on top of old ugly formica counters – we purchased sheets of zinc from Ney Metals in Brooklyn and had a tin roof guy “wrap” the old counters with the zinc. Since this was for an old creaky country house upstate the lack of slick finish was a plus. We did not seal the zinc at all so it responds to any liquid put on it, with a variety of distressed looks, but they all come off when scrubbed with a scrub pad. There used to be a counter place in Westchester that could do much fancier, French restaurant style work – I found it by searching online.
