Log in to Reply Is this an exposed lead pipe in your basement? If so, and it’s a pinhole leak, a LIGHT tap with a hammer MIGHT stop it–lead is very soft. Sorry I can’t recommend a plumber–our long time plumber died a couple of years ago. Log in to Reply

My guess would be it is against code to install a lead water supply line, so it would be against code for anyone to fix a lead supply line- it has to be replaced. Log in to Reply
