242 Greene Shady?
I put down a down payment on an condo at 242 Greene in Februrary. The units are still not closed and it is starting to feel shady to me. Does it really take this long to close on a place? Its getting absurd and a little sketchy. Is anyone else in this situation or another…

If it’s a new development, the sponsor has to get a C of O before anyone can close on the units. I went through this many years ago with a new condo development. It took a very long time. I lost my mortgage committment twice, and then my lawyer wrote a letter demanding my down payment back. Right after that, the sponsor got the C of O, and started closing on the units. Speak to your attorney. You may be able to demand your down payment back.
