Have a list of plumbing repairs and wanted to get a ball park estimate before we dive in…any ideas?

1. Replace a “basic” toilet, tighten leaky sink fixture and replace bath/shower selector knob.
2. Snake a slow moving drain.
3. Replace radiator turn off valve.
4. Replace radiator air valve.

  1. I would suggest trying to do these repairs yourself… they’re really easy!
You’ll save money, and you will be very amazed how simple the work is!

Therer’s enough to do that requires a skilled tradesperson… your repairs aren’t
complicated at all… including the installation of a new toilet.

    Good luck!

  2. I would guess around $400-700. Though some of that stuff you can do yourself easily. Air valves are easy to replace. You could also try to clean it first by boiling in vinagar. Replacing a toilet is one of the easiest plumbing things to do. I’ve done it twice, once when I put in a new toilet, the other to remove my cell phone lodged in the toilet. Bath/shower knob is easy, the stem comes out easily, take the old to the plumbing supply for replacement. The leaky sink depends on whats leaking- drain, faucet? Snaking can be done if you don’t have to go deep in the line. You might try doing some of it yourself, you can always call the pluber when you screw it up.
