Contractor for Small to Mid-Size Job

Could anyone recommend a reliable contractor to do a small to mid-size job? We are about to close on an apartment in Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO area and will need someone to do just a few things – knock out a sheetrock wall and some closets; sand and refinish, or possibly replace, the wood floors (my husband and i are still discussing that); and repaint. I know there are plenty of recommendations on this site for more extensive renovations, and we do want to redo the kitchen and baths eventually, but we won’t have the money for that for a long, long time. We just want someone to get our place into move-in condition who won’t neglect our job just because it’s of a fairly modest scale. Thanks!
