Does anyone have experiences with T&A Carpentry? Thanks!

  1. T&A is the worst. the guy (Anthony??) is a complete jerk. they’re unreliable and don’t follow up with estimates, etc. use them at your own risk.

  2. we just used T&A them for a renovation job in south slope, and i have to say i’m pretty baffled by all of the vitriol on here against them.

they’ve done a great job for us. they delivered on-time and the quality of the work has been good. and they were very responsive to resolve all of the items on our our punch-list of things that did go wrong that we discovered after we moved in.

sucks if others had bad experiences, but i can honestly say that has not been the case for us. at all.

  3. Stay away from T&A!! Terrible, terrible, terrible work. So many mistakes. Very unprofessional. You’ll never hear an apology from them for any of their f’ups. Stay away from T&A!!

  4. I’ve had similar experience to Sloper. Used them a few times because they were the only ones to return calls and show up, but their work was on the shoddy side. We were never able to find anyone to redo our frame house (other than them) when we owned it and now I’m glad we never got to it. Perhaps you can try contractors in parts of the suburbs (NJ?) where they have Victorian homes? Actually, who does all of those homes in Victorian Flatbush? Can’t all be
    T&A.

  5. Problem is, so far as I can see, they are the only game in town, for someone looking to reside their frame house if you don’t want vinyl or brickface, does anyone know of anyone else?

  6. I have used T&A more than I care to remember. In the end, I can’t say I’m completely satisfied with them. They aren’t expensive, but I don’t feel they do very high quality work. It really depends alot on who they have working for them at any particular time. We had a problem surface three years after they did a major project for us because of their negligence. I won’t ever use them again…
