Contractor recommendation
I remember reading a post/ reply to a post here a while back where someone named Tim from one of the reno blogs (Putnam/ Throop)?) recommended his contractor Timmy. I’m sorry if this is Brownsotner 101 (“What do you mean, you don’t know who Tim is?!”) I would appreciate it if I could e-mail you…

Thanks!
Anybody else who would like to recommend their contractor (mid-range price please) please do so.
(We did get an estimate from a well-recommended company already. They were very professional and prompt, but we fell off our chairs when we saw the price and need to get some more estimates. Does anybody have an idea of what an entire garden floor gut reno including kitchen and bathroom with rewiring, major plumbing, new heating system should cost?)
hi, after getting several estimates, and haveing a few disasters i finally found mike at m&N>.
his estimate was great, he explained pricing options to us, he awlays returned our calls and, most importantly, go the job done in the time frame we agreed apon.
still very happy to have worked with him.

A gut renovation, depending on condition could be anywhere from $100-$800 per sq. ft. All depends on what they find when the demo, and what kinds of finishes or quality you go with.
Hi – I just finished gut renovating 2.5 floors in a brownstone and I really like my contractor – quality, speed, and service have all been good. In fact, I’m looking for people to recommend him to, and so I would be happy to talk to you about him if you’re interested. He wasn’t super cheap, but he was low bidder on my job. My email is mk1online@hotmail.com if you (or anyone else) wants more info.
My guess, and it’s not super educated, is that your garden gut renovation is probably $75,000 or so.
