Best/cheapest source for appliances?
Where’s the best/cheapest/most reliable store to get appliances? PC RIchard? Drimmer’s? Drimmer’s? A New Jersey outfit in order to save tax? Thanks!
I also gave Levi a shot at my appliance quote. I found him on apartment therapy. Suprisingly enough everything was cheaper then the cheapest quote I had previously received. He knew what he was talking about and he delivered as promised. He is more then worth a shot.
Al EBA no longer sells SubZero. SubZero cut them off as an authorized retailer. Impossible that you bought one from them-at least not in the last two months. This is the 2nd and last time that they got their SubZero/Wolf license removed. This time it is permanent.
Try SoHoAppliances.com. They beat out all the above names. No tax and with the delivery they came out cheaper then everyone. Speak to a guy named Levi.
Third on EBA at Ave J & Nostrand – nice people and often have month-long specials based on manufacturers, so if you time it right (like we did) you can buy your stuff interest free and pay it off with your tax return 8-10 months later. They also often have floor specials. Sears on Cortelyou is okay too, don’t recommend their home service but good prices on stuff like Bosch (although EBA usually is lower). EBA is generally less than Lowes or HD.
Another vote for EBA Wholesale (on Nostrand, a little south of the Flatbush Junction). I’ve had good service and gotten great prices there.

Try appliancesbuyphone.com. The owner, Steve, used to have a store in the brownstone brooklyn area, and now runs this out of a warehouse. NJ based so no tax or delivery. If you call, he is very helpful. We go a number of things from him, and have recommended him to other people –also happy customers.
i will second Sears.
