Cabinets ASAP
Can anyone recommend an affordable place where I don’t have to wait 8 weeks for kitchen cabinets? Although I don’t need very much custom work at all, Home Depot off the rack cabinets do not work for me. I would like this work to be done asap and am simply looking for white shaker-style cabinets….

Kraftmaid styles are great but take too long.

DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT. I’ve been waiting for parts not shipped and replacement cabinets for the ones that arrived damaged for two months. The guys at the 23rd street store in nyc are terrible. They took the second order while I was sitting there and watching them put it into the computer but they forgot to send it. I kept calling every day to get a delivery date and only after weeks did they realize that the order was never placed. This started in August and I won’t have a kitchen until after xmas. It’s been a nightmare.

The guy on Atlantic is named David. His shop is between New York and Nostrand. I purchased cabinets and countertops from him a few weeks ago and was pretty satisfied with the price (I had my contractor intall them) and the service. I ordered basic oak cabinets but he does have other selections.
I second L&T on 60th and 2nd ave. They only have a couple of styles but they are well made and they are all in stock. They’ll put them together for you too.
We so happen to be in a similar situation as the main poster. Newstoner – do you know the name of your guy? Anyone else have other names? I’ve heard there are people who “specialize” in Ikea jobs, and don’t poo-poo you for not wanting something super
custom.
There is a guy on Atlantic Ave. Somewhere between Kingston & New York. He’s Good, Quick and great prices.
I wish I had known about him b/4. He just moved his shop there from Coney Island.
