Sanding/Stripping stairs
I have two flights of stairs that have been painted brown. I’d like to sand/seal/polyurethane them. Some of the floor contractors don’t seem interested in this work – and/or price it pretty high. Any recommendations as to a good person/company for this job, and how much it should cost? Thanks!

George is just excellent- so sweet, and does an incredible job. Be very clear that you want the risers done as well as the tops of the stairs before you negotiate a price. When we asked, he didn;t realize we meant the risers as well, and the price changed. It was still a very good price. And he is fast. He made our totally trashed floors and stairs look gorgeous. My floor guy is Desmond. He did my stairs as well, no complaints. 917-642-2752. I’ve been using him for years: fair prices, good work and heck of a nice guy. No, I’m not connect to him.
Why do I get the feeling you are somehow connected to this M&M Construction?
Anyway – I’m the original poster – does anyone have someone they can recommend who can sand stairs, and not just the tops, but also the vertical parts as well?

most floor guys won’t do the vertical part of the stairs, they just want to run their sanders on the flat parts. you probably have to call a someone who specializes in stairs.
